Hobbs Oak
Hobbs Oak is a modernisation, refurb and extension of an existing dwelling located within the New Forest National Park. The project intends to increase the size of the property to suite a growing family, whilst creating a more attractive dwelling than the existing 60’s house.
Our design service looked at various designs for a client who had a tight budget. As it is located within the New Forest, planning policy restricts extensions being over 30% of the habitable floor area, therefore we had to come up with some cleaver space saving ideas to maximise the design. Given the properties location, there are some fantastic views, which the client wanted to take advantage of through balconies and large windows. The reconfiguration of the property resulted in a modern, open-plan, dinking, kitchen & living, along with a large family living room, and large bedrooms on the first floor, two which had en-suites.
The project has recently been submitted for planning and we are eagerly awaiting the results.
