Park Road is a rear infill extension to a Victorian semi-detached house. The house currently features a single storey outrigger extension to the rear, that was originally built to provide a small kitchen and WC to the property. Over the years it has been converted into an open plan living, kitchen & dining area, however, the space is undersized and cramped.

Fields of Architecture were appointed to help extend the property, infilling alongside the outrigger. This small extension made the space much wider and more usable, providing increased size to the living, kitchen & dining room. As part of the work, we also replace the existing lean-to roof of the extension for a sleek parapet flat roof. Coupled with aluminium doors, rainwater hoppers and a feature brick detail, the extended and re-model extension is a great addition to the property.

The project is approaching construction and we have just completed the construction drawings. The project has been made more difficult by a shared drain that we are proposing to build over.
